Charcoal

Charcoal charcoal everywhere, on my nose and on my face.

Charcoal Painting

The medium of charcoal provides a wonderful way to play with shadow and light.  Making something 2-dimensional look 3-dimensional is true talent and charcoal is a very fun and easy medium to do this with.  The challenge with Charcoal is to not smudge your black hands all over your work and your neighbours face!

We look forward to our first highly interactive charcoal sessions with you!

Fun notes:
1) With the use of charcoal pencils or sticks, you can create pictures with shadow and light.
2) Using varying pressures, thickness of line, smudging, space and light, you can create different effects of the media to create 3-dimension and flat works of art.

Let the fun times begin!
